Bruce Carlson CFP®
Bruce graduated from the University of St. Thomas in 1980 and started his investment career in 1982 with the regional brokerage firm of John G. Kinnard and Co. Later, he worked for Dain Rauscher and UBS Paine Weber. For all of these firms he was selected to their respective inner circle clubs. These clubs recognized representatives who offered outstanding customer service, high levels of professional performance, and exemplary levels of success and leadership.
In 2004 Bruce started Carlson Asset Management with the goal of being a full service, forward and Independent thinking Asset Management firm with the motto “Excellence in money management”
Bruce received his CFP® (Certified Financial Planner) designation in 1988 and participates regularly in continuing education and industry roundtable programs. Bruce is also a graduate of the Securities Industry Institute at the Wharton School at the U of Pennsylvania. Bruce is licensed with his Series 7 (General Securities Representative) and Series 63 (Uniform Securities Agent State Law Exam). Bruce is also an active member of the Lake Johanna Fire department, LJFD.ORG, where he serves as a paid on call Firefighter and Emergency Medical Technician serving the communities of Arden Hills, North Oaks, and Shoreview. Bruce resides in North Oaks with his family.
